AH Spike and Buffy date in LA, before B is Slayer

Buffy lived with Joyce, I cant remember if Hank was still in the picture. I remember Buffy using the window to go meet Spike at night. Spike was a vampire. I think they were mated. There was some biting and I think thats how they discovered that she had been called. B and J moved to Sunnydale, maybe because Joyce and Hank divorced, and Spike followed. I think Buffy and Spike did the meet the parent thing with Joyce in LA. And Giles was waiting for Buffy in the library to tell her about her destiny and she was like 'tell me something I dont already know plah plah plah'.

Hopefully someone will know what I mean. I might have gotten a little confused, it's been a long time since I have read this fic.

I think you meant AU instead of AH. Could you possibly be thinking of Sideways by Goldenusagi? Not exactly what you described, but has some of the same elements.
