Catatonic Buffy sees everything

Ok so I might be mixing up a couple of fics. So what I remember is that Buffy is placed under a spell, (I think, or she was attacked by a demon) and she ends up in a catatonic state, or maybe it was a coma. Her eyes are open and unknown to everybody else she is completely aware of everything going on around her. I think after a few months everybody except Spike gives up and decides that Buffy's state is perament, but Spike refuses to and is the only one who continues to care for her.

Good story but no, the one I'm looking for is longer.

I've been looking for one like this also. In the one I am thinking of Buffy never comes out of her catatonic state, the Scoobies want to place her in institutionalized care but Spike takes her away before they can do this and at the end is tending to her.

Summary: After falling into a coma, Buffy becomes no more than body to her friends. Spike refuses to let her fade away.

This is the only one I can think of but I don't think Buffy sees everything that's going on.

I love that story! But that's not it either though it is very close to the one I'm thinking of.

There is a story who's title and author I cannot remember, but here is the summary.

It takes place right after "crush". A witch curses Buffy and she gets sick. Her friends think its just some prophecy and research that but when they don't find any thing they give up and think its some slayer thing that she will get over. Buffy is really sick and stays home and her friends come to see her less and less. Spike steps up and starts taking care of Buffy, Joyce, and Dawn.
