hi i'm looking for fanfictions where buffy and spike have a baby if it's possible i wouldn't like the child to be the key or dawn and it would be better if it was early in the series. moreover, i'd like them long and not particulary angsty

You might like Origins by niamh. It's here on Spuffy Realm. Goes off canon after season 2 and I don't think the baby is Dawn, but it's been a while since I read it.

Wait!!!! No! I don't know what I was thinking. It's Unexpected by Passion4Spike not Origins. (Though Origins is great and you might want to read that also.) Unexpected happens after season 2 and is epic, but the baby is the Key. Crossing Shadow River by Dutchbuffy2305 also meets your some of your criteria. It's a longer story and the baby is not the Key, but I think it would be classified as angsty. It's also a sequel to the first story (no baby) called Crossing into Unchipped Country. They can be found on Elysian Fields.

The Bittersweet Series by Herself_NYC

Summary: An ongoing series of Spike/Buffy tales, meant to be read in order. The first springs from "Wrecked" in season six; the series veers off from canon at that point.

Absolutely love this series. It isn't in the early seasons, but it's definitely worth a read!!

Regarding the Unexpected Series, although the baby is the Key, it is NOT DAWN by any stretch of the imagination. The series is angsty, however, but each section ends happily ... so far.

Origins goes off canon after Chosen, not in season 2. Buffy and Spike do have a baby, but not until the third installment, Resolutions.
