Historical All-Human Telanova Style, Spike & Angel are Half-brothers

Angel is originally betrothed to Buffy(Elizabeth), but decides to marry her sister Amy instead. William(Spike) is Angel's half-brother, but Angel's mother Darla wants Angel to remain his father's only heir. Buffy almost joins a convent after Angel breaks their engagement, until she meets William. Amy has to use subterfuge on her wedding night to keep Angel and Darla from finding out she's not a virgin.
