I'm looking for any season 6 nc-17 fics in which spike suffers for being mistreated by everybody, but ends up getting some love from buffy. I'm in one of those days when you just can't stand to see spike so alone and just want to hug him and make him happy.

Second Youth might be a good option. Buffy from the future is brought back to the past and makes Spike hers.

I always think of Niamh's Origins series as being a good romance despite some opposition. I think they are all on Elysian Fields, the last is a WIP though I think. Though it is such a classic you have probably read them.
