I'm looking for a Buffy time travel fic where Buffy becomes a housekeeper for William's sister, meets William and marries him.
I know there are lists on the forum with the best Buffy/William fics, time travel fics etc. but the fic I'm looking for isn't mentioned in any of the threads. I already did a general search on the forum (key words time travel and William) and on EF, but didn't find it.
For some reason I remember a lot about the story, but I can't recall the title/author at all.. frustrating! Hope you guys can help, thanks in advance!
Here goes:
For some reason (She gets struck by lightning?) Buffy gets transported to England in the 1800's. She's lost and has nowhere to go. William's sister finds her on the streets of London and takes her in as a maid/housekeeper. She wants to go home, but doesn't know how, so she decides to wait till her friends find a way to bring her back. William is away to finish his studies (he becomes a doctor?).
When William returns, Buffy immediatly recognises him. I don't know if I remember this correctly (could be from another fic), but I think she finds it too weird to call him William, so she uses his second name (Thomas?). They fall in love and eventually get married. One day Buffy feels a weird "pull", she wakes up, although briefly, in the hospital in her own time and sees her friends and Spike (they're chanting). She calls out to him (calls him Thomas/William).
Whatever her friends tried, it didn't work, Buffy's spirit returns to the 1800's. She knows they'll try again and warns William. A few days/weeks (?) later she feels the pull again, this time the Scoobies succeed. Buffy wakes up in her own time. Spikes is not at the hospital. He remembered what happened in the 1880's and left to wrap his head around the fact that Buffy is his lost wife. He leaves a message for Buffy: he'll be back in a few weeks. When he returns, Buffy tells him she's pregnant.
