Tricky two with little info!

I read this and was FLOORED by the imagery running through my head! I know it's vague, but, please if anyone remembers it, thank you! I read this just about after I got completely hooked which was about 4-5 years ago with Spuffy. Anyway...Buffy was either being chased by some evil, I want to say cloud or storm type cloud? She ends up at some house that I think they the Scoobs own and locks herself in because it's protected by magic.

Now I'm unclear if this was Willow evil or something else or that Buffy herself was evil. I am not remembering a lot of details except that she was out fighting in the street and then ran for this house or building into some protected room. The evil does get in...Argh I wish I had more, but this fic was so detailed and I read it so long ago!

The second one I have even less of! It's annoying me! Out in the jungle Buffy meets up eventually with Spike, but it's either Buffy is different or Spike is. I'm not sure. I know that the guy in charge is a jerk and might control Buffy or something like that? They were literally in the jungle. I think maybe Buffy might have been kidnapped or something and how they changed her into a fighting soldier, changed her.

I know I have read both...because I couldn't come up with those stories lol! They were both written so well, and I just can't, for the life of me, remember who wrote it and the name! Help?

No this was darker. I am remembering right. Buffy was missing for years and Spike happens upon a group of soldiers. Buffy is different. VERY different. Spike doesn't recognize her at first, but he gets the feeling of familiarity with her. She is controlled by the 'leader'. I remember she sneaks out at night and Spike meets up with her.

Now, if I'm recalling right, it was 3 years she was missing. I forget if this was AU or a season after what was canon. I remembered more thankfully!

Maybe #1 is Future Sins Past by Dreamsofspike? I seem to remember a similar scene somewhere in the middle of the fic.

Still looking for #2... any significant names or details you might remember that would stand out while doing a search?

That's what I thought too, but sadly not. It was older. Argh it's like pulling hair out remembering more details!

The second one I remember Buffy had been missing for 3 years. I am pretty darn sure about that. I don't know if Spike went looking for her or if he just 'happened' onto her. It was very Spuffy, and their encounters were so much like them too! I know Spike wasn't souled up either. This was when I was on my kick of loving soulless Spike more. It could have been on a site I happened upon by accident while looking for more to read. I wish I had more!

I also want to mention that I think the first might be completely AU or after Season 5 or later. I think. Not earlier.

That sounds like it could be Black Widow or something. i don't know if thats the exact name....but i'm pretty sure its here in tsr.

The second one sounds like one I was going to put a post in on too. Spikelissa, do you remember if Dawn and the gang were there too? And Dawn got locked in a trunk? Eventually Connor came and saved her. Buffy was also tortured which led to her having no feelings and she became a mercenary? One of her coworkers was a "cat" like woman who falls for Zander?

Whoa...Sounds vaguely familiar. Thing is I'm not sure if the others were involved. I know there was original characters in it. It was really well thought out! I have a feeling you and I are remembering the same story though...I'm trying hard to remember if the others were involved. AND totally spot on about the mercenary!!!! Can I hug you? I thought I was totally letting my imagination run wild...This story has been eating at me for a LONG time. I know they were in some deep jungle area with original characters and Buffy had gone missing for 3 years. I'm trying desperately to remember if it was pre-Chosen or after.

Yeah, I hate to admit it, but it was Life Eternal by Kyra Storm. Why I hate to admit that...I forgot the Spike/other. I seriously didn't like Raven at all. Probably why I repressed a bit. I just skimmed it. I thought Shadow was named something else. Turns out the evil was quite a few 'evils' involved and it was never finished.

Quite a few harsh comments though. I didn't think it was that horrible. I just had issues with Raven lmao.
