Spike as a hero?

Hi guys,

I've got a hankering for fic where Buffy is in an abusive relationship (not necessarily a romantic one) and Spike comes in on a white horse (not literally) and saves her.

I know, it's a really odd request--I'm not looking for this because I enjoy reading abused!Buffy, but because I could really do with reading some nice hero!Spike ((because men suck right now)) fic. Lol

Hmmm. A number of my recs aren't really 'abusive relationshippy' because I missed that clause in the request. They are good stories though so I'll leave them in case someone is interested in those kinds of 'her hero' stories too. Sorry about that.

Ain't No Sunshine by Mrs. Muir

I can't believe I forgot Ain't No Sunshine! I love that story and it fits the hero aspect of the request perfectly. The relationship part not, but still, great rec!
