So I just re-read Beg The Liquid Red by Eurydice and I have a hankering for fics that involve Buffy thrust into another dimension where she encounters an alternate Spike. I don't mind about rating or setting, though I would prefer fics where she doesn't end up with the Alt Spike. I have a thing where I really only want Buffy to end up with 'her' Spike, and Alt Spike to end up with Alt Buffy (like in the I Know You-verse by slaymesoftly as opposed to Dreamweaver's stories). But I'll take any and all suggestions.

I'm just reading "I Know You" by SlaymeSoftly and is something like this. Post NFA Buffy is sent back in time and meets S2 Spike - (there is dimensional confusion and jumping as well - don't want to give away spoilers). There are a couple of sequels to it, but here is the first:

The Bittersweet Series by Herself, but it's not until the 8th installment. Entire series is worth a read.

Reading Bite Marks. It's really rather amazing. Forty-four chapters of great plot wrapped in beautiful prose.

I'd recommend Crossing into unchipped country by Dutchbuffy2305 (available on Elysian Fields) but I would not recommend the sequel which pulls the Buffy/Spike dynamic of the first one apart, they are written totally differently and has loads of Dawn/Spike. It comes across like the author just wanted to use the same dimension jumping theory without explaining it again, they really don't go well together in terms of characterisation. But the first one, on its own, is great.

(Equally with the Bittersweet series unfaithfulness bothers you don't get onto the instalments when it jumps into the future, I always ignore those later ones in that series.)

I remember this one dark, angsty fic where Xander died when he and Faith got together but she suffocated him. Willow turns evil with magic and sends Buffy to a dimension that takes place during the LA battle. The Buffy from that dimension ends up with that Spike. They get back to the original Buffy's dimension, and she ends up with her her Spike and it's Spuffy all around. I'm pretty sure that the main Buffy has a magical telepathy device that allows her to talk to Spike. She doesn't know it's Spike, but they eventually become friends through through the device. I can't remember what it's called.

There's also Ultimate Betrayal. They eventually take Spike out of the LA battle. I'm not sure if it was a portal back in time our a different dimension, but it is Buffy's Spike in a way.

Ripping Down the Walls by Peta has Buffy talking to a Spike not knowing it is him and a darker Willow involved so that might be the one the previous person meant, it sounds like it.
