Anyone read any good stories where Spike decides to go off and get himself a soul without the whole bathroom scene ugliness? Not one where he gets ensouled accidentally - he has to earn himself one. And not one where it turns out he had a soul all along. Doesn't have to be season 6. Points if he doesn't end up losing it and the Scoobs decide he doesn't need one any way (because IMO, he really does).

Thus sort of happens in Gem of a Soul by Spuffyluvr.... It's still motivated in part by some se.xual ugliness, but not the exact AR scene from S6.

Same deal in the Baby Series by Mrs. Muir.... Still some se.xual ugliness leading to Spike souling up, but not an AR.
