Buffy is in a coma, Spike is the only one who sticks around

I've been trying to track down this fic.

I don't remember how, but Buffy ends up in a coma. She's in hospital and the Scoobies visit, but the visits become less and less frequent. Her prognosis isn't good. Spike is the only one who takes care of her, along with the nurses. The Scoobies aren't happy with this, but they have their own lives so let it happen.

The doctors send Buffy home and Spike takes care of her round-the-clock. When Buffy wakes she can't talk initially, but realises that Spike is the only one who was there for her.

Also, I believe Dawn was sent into Angel's care.

Does this jog any memories?

Are you sure it's complete? Because I've read it and I love it but it doesn't seem finished unless you know another place it's posted complete? It's still a good read no matter what.

It's not finished. It stops at chapter ten everywhere, including on her livejournal and in the comments section there she indicates it is not finished and hopes to get another chapter done but she never did. That was 2005 so I don't think it's going any further at this point.

I thought so. I kind of ends with no real resolution to it. I kind of gave up hope it would be finished a while ago. it's such a good story too!

Well that's weird. I went to her LJ yesterday and couldn't find it past chapter ten nor is it entered past that in her memories section. I guess she didn't link to the original posted story on her LJ. A little annoyed with her for that but glad she did finish it and also grateful you linked us up to it. Now if she'd post it to the sites her story is unfinished at that would be nice. I hate when authors leave things off in different places at different chapters. It's confusing to the rest of us.
