Buffy met Spike in a snow storm. He has a beard when she first meets him. They have a one-night stand in his van and misunderstand each others' reactions the morning after. They meet again when Spike shows up at Giles' house where Buffy is the housekeeper. Buffy lies to Spike about dating someone named Connor; Connor is really dating Dawn, Buffy's sister. I have a lot of the details, but I do not remember the author or the title. I really want to read this again.
