Buffy fighting her worst fears.

Ok this is going to be the most vauge discription but i only remember a little of the fic i'm trying to find so while i know my chances are slim i'm hoping someone knows the fic i'm looking for

So its a canon fic (Spike vampire Buffy slayer) and they are working together, they end up in L.A and are kissing when Angel sees them and Buffy chases him to explain but loses him then her and Spike get into a fight about it.

The only other part i remember is that Buffy gets trapped and she has to face her biggest fears which is Angelus and Angel walks in and sees her terrified and fighting for her life agiest Angelus and realises what he has done to her telling Spike to tell her he is sorry.

That's all i really remember does anyone know what fic i'm talking about? i read it ages ago

I know exactly which story you're talking about!!!...I just don't know the title or author :/ lol

Hopefully someone else does. Some other details(& correct me if I'm wrong):

-Buffy's family history is actually different than she believes. I believe Hank and Joyce really wanted a child but couldn't conceive so the council made it happen. Hank was always supposed to give her up, but he just couldn't do it. It's one of the few stories in which Hank is painted in a good light. It's kind of heart wrenching, and him and Buffy have this little thing cutesy greeting thing- "I love you [insert opposites] (i.e. up and down, left to right etc) or something like that.
