I read a fic on this site a while ago and I was completely enthralled by it. There were two stories, and the sequel wasn't finished, it was being periodically updated. I couldn't stand the waiting, so I decided to stop reading and wait until it was finished. I guess I waited too long!
I can only remember bits of the first story. Elizabeth was working as a maid/cleaner at an inn/guest house. I think Willow was her supervisor and William was the owner/boss/tenant. This was set in the past (19th century? That's an utter guess). Elizabeth was Buffy, and Buffy had been the slayer and somehow she lost all memory of this. I think she was given a chance to live as a 'normal' girl or something? This might be completely wrong. Whatever the case, William falls for Elizabeth and writes her a letter confessing his love. I think they get married or plan to wed in America? Either way, it involves them going on a long trip.
In the sequel, I remember a train journey William and Elizabeth took. Elizabeth was getting memories of being Buffy and her life as a slayer. Due to the period this was set in, everyone thought she was mad, and there was a doctor on the train that wanted to do various things to her, to get rid of her hysteria. I believe Drusilla ends up on the train and Elizabeth sees her in a cargo hold? I also want to say it involved Billy the Kid, but I'm not certain. I'm pretty sure this is near the part where I stopped reading and waited for the fic to be finished.
Is anyone still with me? Does this fic exist? I'm starting to think I dreamt it. I'd really like to find it again if it is actually a thing. |
