I'm looking for a fic where Spike and Buffy meet pre-show. Before, during, or after the events of the movie doesn't matter to me so long as it's pre-SunnyD. I've looked a lot but haven't been able to find one. Plesae Help!!!

Sideways. I have a terrible memory so the author is escaping me at the moment. But it is one of the best fics I've ever read. Spike is hired as Buffys body guard before she gets called. An amazing read.

This is not really 'pre show' as much as 'instead of show'. They are in Sunnydale briefly but do not meet in any way shape or form along canon lines. I'll leave it to you whether it meets your needs for this request. It's one of my favorite stories.
