Buffy meets rockstar Spike and they become friends.

Buffy is married to Angel, and they go to see Spikes band in concert. Buffy gets an autograph and she and Spike end up e-mailing back and forth and become friends. When she and Angel have a fight she runs to Spike for help and they spend the night together.

I think Darla is a marriage counsellor and Buffy catches Angel with her in their home.

Summary: After being together for years, Buffy and Angel are caught in a passionless marriage, and are growing further apart every day. Spike is the lead singer for a new British band who meets Buffy at a concert and is instantly drawn to her.
