A gentler Buffy

Hi... Don't you just hate when you remember some little tidbit of a story and it drives ya mad when you can't place it. Well, this is whats driving me (batty) this week:

::The story (I think) begins with Spike showing up chipped at Giles. For some reason Buffy decides to use "honey vs vinegar" in her approach in dealing with him during the Thanksgiving dinner. :: (I'm not sure if this was a time travel fic or if it's just a gentler, kinder Buffy.)
