I have searched all over and even tapped some fandom friends, and can't come up with this fic. Fair warning, details are sketchy at best.
Spike and Buffy reunite and are either traveling somewhere together or looking for something. They meet up with a witch and she informs them she will not work with the new Watcher's Council run by Giles. She intimates there are other covens who feel the same way. Upon Spike and Buffy's return to the council, Spike starts to question why Giles needs an army of slayers. What does he plan to do with them. He talks about how some covens are against the council and this may/may not cause Willow to become suspicious, too. He suspects Giles has an ulterior motive, and suggests that each slayer be given their own independent territory. This causes Giles to act against Spike, and ultimately failing.
I would be so grateful, only to ease my brain and stop me from looking through every single fic in every archive. LOL! |
