Angel tries to stake Spike in a hotel room and ends up dusted himself

Hello all! I need help to find a Spuffy story. Buffy and Spike reunite and Angel tries to take out Spike in the hotel Buffy and Spike are staying in. Angel comes over when Buffy has gone out to go shopping and attempts to stake Spike, and in the ensuing fight, Angel himself is dusted. Buffy finds Spike horribly burned in the bathroom, but still alive. Does this ring any bells with anyone? I would be very happy if it did. Thanks!

Arrrgh! I think I've read this one and I can't think what it is. Does Angel try to throw Spike out the window or the other way round? I think Spike's burns are from sunlight or am I on an entirely different one?

You are completely right. Angel and Spike grapple with each other and both go out through the patio door of the hotel room and Spike has a stake in him and is burnt to a crisp in the bathroom when Buffy finds, and "smells" his burnt flesh.

Can you remember any more about the set up to Buffy/Spike reuniting? Or anything else in the story/timeline? It is so frustrating when one scene is so vivid, I need some more dots to join.
