Buffy is chilling in the graveyard one night. She saves a witch's life. The witch grants her a wish - which ends up being a night of hot steamy s3x with Spike (I seem to remember feathers). She is transported there from the graveyard.
In the end it turns out that Spike never left Sunnydale, so when she leaves the house she is still in her home town. The part I really want to read again is that the witch tells Buffy that all she has to do at the end is tell Spike to forget about everything, and then he will never bother her about it.
