Alright, this might sound a little odd, but I think I read about this type of Spuffy fic floating around somewhere, and I'd be grateful if anyone could help me out.

Are there by chance any fics where either Buffy or Spike is mute? The inability to speak. I guess I'm looking for a sort of hurt/comfort fic, and I think this story would be an interesting read, if it does exist. I swear I heard about one a while ago, but I am not positive. If there is one, I hope it's complete, but any info on it (maybe a link?) regardless would be super appreciated!

There's Unspoken by Anaross. Buffy and Spike find each other in Cleveland after NFA and Spike isn't able to speak.

Oh! There's also Holly's The Other Side of Midnight. It's post NFA too. Spike comes back to Buffy in an almost feral state. He doesn't remember who he is and can only speak a few words.

How about "Silencio" by Fojiao2? Spike and Buffy make a bet that he can't keep silent. I think the parameters of the bet is if he wins, he wins his chance with Buffy. if he loses, then he has to remain silent about his feelings for her forever. It's been a long, long time since I've read it, but I know Spike has to remain mute through most of the story.

Thank you all so much for the recs! Mel_violet, today I just finished The Other Side of Midnight by Holly and OMG i forgot how much I adored feral and protective/possessive Spike, especially paired with loving, accepting Buffy. I adored the whole story!
