I'm looking for a fic I know I have somewhere but can't think of the name. Buffy and Spike work together to rescue Angel (and Dru?). They mate in order to be able to do this. After the rescue, he thinks she's not in love with him, so Spike leaves. It was due to a misunderstanding: Parker came and delivered a pizza. Buffy goes and kills him while he's hiking to preserve her relationship, but he thinks she followed him because she cared about him.
Buffy rescues a mated pair from the initiative, and they live together in the house they shared, until Spike comes back |
