Buffy has reluctantly agreed to vampsit while Giles is out for the evening, and is desperate for something to distract her from the annoyingly perceptive vampire and the memories of their brief engagement. Kind of fluffy, silly, and smutty, with a smattering of insight . . . and sprinkles!

The writing is an odd style in this but I just find it an adorable fic...

A massive amount of schmoopy ficlets are include in Barb Cummings/Rahirah's Barbverse. I doubt there's a Spuffy reader who hasn't read Barb I have "go to's" in her 'verse when I'm blue. What Happens in Vegas, A Dark and Stormy Night, Protection Racket, Have a Cigar, Second Verse, Just Close Your Eyes..... on and on. Domestic!Spuffy is delightful and Barb is hilarious. It's hard to find a writer who captures Spike's voice better.

But he's smiling - not the usual cocky Spike-grin, but that sweet, brilliant smile she startles out of him only every now and again. "Let me get this straight, Slayer. You were on the receiving end of one of my poems and you want me to write you more?" Buffy nods, not trusting her voice to obey her. Spike strokes the supple leather of the binding as if it's her body he's caressing. "You'll have to make allowances, love," he says. Almost shy. Spike. Shy. Whoa. "'m not very good at writing it."

"That's OK," she replies. "I'm not very good at reading it."

She's kicking herself halfway through the sentence, but Spike's still smiling. And somehow, it comes out way more romantic than it sounded in her head.

Have you tried Weyrwolfen's In League with Serpents ? It's longer and a little angsty in parts (can't imagine Spuffy without at least a smidge) but it's just lovely and Meret is the best OC eva! Coalitiongirl described it as a fic you just want to hug

Also, Dee Bradfield's Shades of Grey is delightful and everyone, even Dru, end up great. I'm a fan of fics that can make everyone decent ('specially Xander and Angel) Again, a smidge of angst, but...see above.
