Spike is unhappily married (or was and is widowed, don't remember which) and meets Buffy in a bar or club or something. She pretends to be a prostitute and they meet several times under that pretense. But Buffy is really an unhappily married housewife.

Summary: On the anniversary of his wife's death, cop Spike Williams goes looking for some solace and finds Buffy, an unhappily married woman in an abusive relationship, who pretends to be a hooker when she meets Spike. AU. All human. Present day.
