I know there are some hidden gems out there that are only found in pdf . I wonder if we can compile a list of all the available spuffy fics that are in pdf form whose authors still allow it .

This kind of sounds like you're looking for fics no longer available online. In other words, a fic exchange. Trying to compile a list that big would be a monumental undertaking, which would also require individuals willing to take the time to email or upload (in many cases) entire libraries. This is the entire purpose of this forum: to reach out if you're looking for something specific.

I would recommend asking for what you have specifically in mind.

I don't have anything specific in mind . I actually have some fics in pdf and they are awesome . so I want them to be available for all , with the authors permission so all the new fans can have direct access to them and many fandoms have already used this idea .

Yeah, you're talking about hundreds, thousands of fics here. This is way too much of an undertaking for anyone. This forum is something most fandoms don't have though -- a place where you can ask for specific fics or recs of fics and fic exchanges. So it serves the purpose well, as far as Buffy/Spike fiction goes anyway.

Oh, that's really cool! You should totally set one up on LJ and put a link up here. I mean, I still think it's a huge effort, as the Spuffy fandom is old and HUGE, but there might be some willing to contribute. Good luck!

That's probably me, and 'no'. If you want to start a list, please start a list. Saying you want a list but you want other people to do the work so you can simply benefit from it is kind of presumptuous in my opinion. I personally don't need the list and don't have that kind of time. I am happy to share fics when requested, no problem there. But I have no desire to put the work in to start posting fics and uploading to lists etc. I can barely keep up with my life now as it is.

So, please start a list and let us know where it is and how to add to it if you want to do it. I think it's quite a project but if you want to do it more power to you and I'm sure folks will be happy to see it. Seriously.

I think it's a great idea, but I also agree that asking someone who has been in the fandom for a decade or more to upload probably hundreds upon hundreds of files is asking a bit much. I'm sure if you set something up ppl would be willing to contribute when they have the time, though!

I "do" want a list but sadly I can't contribute much to it because I don't have many fics to begin with or else I wouldn't have asked but I will try to start on on my lj account
