Spike Takes Angel's Role in S1 as the vamp with the soul.

Hi,
I was looking for a fic I read a while ago where Spike was the one who had the soul in Buffy S1 and he basically took Angel's role. Of course, it wasn't exactly the same since it was Spike being all soul-having and not Angel.

Spike comes in with the same sort of scene that Angel does in season one.
It isn't Sere Nere by Bloody_Hell.

If anyone could find the fic I'm thinking of or if anyone has suggestions that sort of fit my descriptions I'd love to read them.

Here on Spuffy Realm is a fic called Family, Blood, and Prophecy by icemink. It's a WIP but it's long and really good. It's AU, where Spike was given the soul by the gypsies instead of Angelus, and then Season One starts with him in place of Angel.

This is the story I was thinking of when the question was first posted above. Thank you for finding it. Of course the original poster will have to determine whether it is the one they themselves were looking for.

I've asked the author in 2007 in an LJ post about Family, Blood, and Prophecy by icemink not being on a list of WIPs. The answer was

Yeah, it's missing for a reason. I don't intend to continue it. Who knows someday I may get back to it, but I think I'd have to rewrite it from the beginning to make it work again.

So I don't think you'll find more chapters anywhere else. Sadly so; one can only hope.
Her old site was connected with Vampkiss' domain, she has another one now but the story isn't there either. Good it's still here.

Ah, yes, thank you guys! Icemink was the one. Sucks that it won't be continued though.
