spike and buffy used to be best friends but spike ditched her for the cool crowd in high school...buffy then has to tutor spike so he can graduate...they use things in the past to hurt each other but eventually end up together.

sounds very generally but i have not been able to find a fic since reading it. i thought it was called second chances but i've come up empty handed on that search...
