Hey guys, I'm looking for fics along the lines of Her Last Request/Promises Kept by Slaymesoftly and Unsuffer Me/Certain Dark Things by EnigmaticBlue in which Spike and Buffy have some sort of physical/romantic relationship in an earlier season then are separated for a period of time and reunited in a later season or after a couple years. I'm not particularly looking for post Chosen/NFA fics (unless it is really, really good) as I've read many of those, but rather stories that take place during the course of the series. The story can be AU and I don't really care whether or not events are cannon to the series. There can be any number of obstacles they need to overcome once they are reunited (i.e. Riley, Giles, Scoobies, Angel, Dru, or someone/thing else), but I'd ultimately like to have a happy Spuffy ending.

I'd like the fics to be supernatural as opposed to all human, and I'm not too keen on getting caught up in WIPs (unless it is updated regularly).

Spike is called away by Drusilla before he can meet Buffy at the Bronze in Tabula Rasa. He doesn't return to Sunnydale until after the fiasco of Xander and Anya's wedding. Things aren't the same as when he left town...especially Buffy.

The first one is a WIP and probably won't be finished but it's an excellent tale, and a long one, and worth reading IMO. So you have been warned.

The second one is the kind where Spike and Buffy meet again later but they didn't actually do the season six thing yet so I'm not sure if it counts for your criteria but I include it here. There are a lot of stories of that nature, if your criteria expands to include those where they didn't have a sexual relationship before the gap in time.
