AH Buffy is hired to take care of William's son.

I'm looking for a fic I read a long time ago. It was set in modern day and it was all human. William is wealthy, I think possibly a writer, who has a young son. He was married to Dru, but she left him and their son behind. Buffy gets the job as his live in nanny and absolutely adores the little boy. Of course, Buffy and William fall in love as well and I do believe he asks her to marry him on Christmas Eve while he, his son, and Buffy are each opening one gift each. I'm not sure, but I think the fic ends when they get married and she signs the papers to be the little boy's legal mother. I also believe Wesley was in teh fic as William's lawyer and Joyce is in bits of it as well.

I do remember there was just as much focus on the relationship between Buffy and the little boy and William and his son as there was on the Spuffy relationship. If I remember correctly it was a longer fic and very well written.

Assuming this is the story you are looking for. William has a four year old son, Buffy becomes his nanny/au pair, and Dru is 'out of the country'. And they marry at the end of it.

Thank you SMac! That is definitely the fic I was looking for, although it seems on this site to have some format problems that weren't on the vampkiss site I read it on way back when. If your version you have saved is clean could I contact you to get it emailed to me?

I'm sorry it took me so long to say thanks, but I posted this before leaving the house this morning and when I got home this afternoon my power supply died. Thank goodness for a husband who works in computers and all we had to do was go find one that worked at his office and borrow it until I can get a new one.

I loathe aff.net because every story I try to read there has these formatting word smushing issues and it's aggravating as all hell. I am not sure if the copy I have is from there or not but I just copied the one cordykitten linked to from the old vampkiss site so hopefully that one is clean. Just persuing both copies I now have I didn't see any smushy words show up in spelling errors so that bodes well.

Go ahead and take a look at the links cordykitten gave above and see if that one isn't nice and clean. If it turns out as you're reading it that it has the aff.net smushy words issue then we both have the same issue so my copy won't help you. When the only copy is aff.net smushy word the only thing I can do for myself is go through it and unsmush the words in my copy, but that's the same thing you'd have to do so.... Good luck!
