I read this fic awhile ago. I don't remember much but it was a human fic set in the 17, 18 or 1900s. Buffy is riding in a carriage with another woman and gets robbed by a masked highway man (Spike). Buffy then later meets Spike at a ball or fancy dinner party and realizes who he is. Hope that is enough to go on. I read it a long time ago so I don't even know if it's still floating around somewhere.

Stand and Deliver by vampirische liebe - found at Elysian Fields

Summary: Elizabeth, the magistrate's daughter encounters a highwayman, William the Bloody, while on her way to see her father about her upcoming engagement. Instead of taking the jewels on her neck, he takes something else.
