I'm looking for a fic where Buffy is in high school and Joyce dies leaving Spike to take care of Buffy. I remember them going to England together to see Giles and them staying in acottage. Also remembr Buffy starting college and Spike gets real jealous. That's all i got.

I have an earlier version (the one on TSR and sinister attraction is the revamped version as far as I know) and it goes a lot further on. I got it off vamp kiss site. Whoever it was who has the address for the archived vamp kiss site, would you see if you can find a working link to this story there, or direct us to where we can find it? I have no idea how to do that but I know you've come up with stuff from there before, whoever you are. (Feel like I'm sending out an SOS in morse code here, hoping someone will hear the clicks and respond. )

Yay! Thank you so much! It sadly doesn't go any further than the original I have but the great thing is that it is all fresh and clean and I can replace my old appleworks cwk version with all the annoying symbols and gaps with this new cleaner version.

So we have two versions to read: the original, much longer one on the old vamp kiss site (thru chapter forty or so) and the revised one she posted later thru chapter sixteen or so. I expect the revised one is probably 'better' (else why revise it, right?) but the older version is much longer so there's that. I haven't read either so I'm all happy now.

I checked her livejournal and the story doesn't go further there either so no luck with that. Apparently this is where she left both versions off.

Off to copy me some clean pages of the original version to replace my cwk one now. Thanks again!!
