The only fic I can think of where Buffy and Angel live together w/a nice "normal" life is by Kari Mouke titled A Not So Gorgeous Mistake. In this fic, Willow and Giles take away her and Angel's memories, giving them new ones after an apocalypse where Angel has become human. They convince everyone else it is the right thing to do so Buffy can finally be happy, but do not tell Buffy about it at all.
Buffy isn't happy w/Angel and dreams of a man w/blue eyes (Spike) that she knows is the love of her life. After certain events happen Spike comes back into her life and helps her to remember and get revenge. If this is the fic you are thinking of I would ask for it specifically so that someone can send it to you.
