Or for something a bit (okay maybe a lot) darker there's Midnight in the Garden of Evil cowritten by Spikeskat and Spikesdeb. I'm not normal one for DarkFic, but this one was really good. You can find it on The Bloodshedverse under kat_n_debs or on spikeskat website.

I know I've read at least one fic where Buffy was Spike's sire but my brain is failing me right now - hopefully it'll come to me before too long.

Buffy the Vampire by Ashlee may end with Buffy turning Spike. I'm pretty sure she claims him but I can't remember if she turns him.

Oh.. Buffy TURNING Spike... talk about seriously misreading. Yeah Buffy the Vampire by Ashlee fits the criteria, she does turn Spike in that.

Also one that sorta fits it is Nothing to Fear by maryperk. It happens durning the Nightmare episode in season 1 when Buffy is a vampire (it turns Spike human and vamp Buffy wants to keep him.)

Gotta say, it's not a plot I come across often, and I've been reading Spuffy for 10 years.

there's also one, I can't remember the name at the mo'. where spike is the slayer and dating Cecily at first but something happens and buffy has to turn him to save him from dying. thats here somewhere.

The fic you described is Buffy the Vampire by Ashlee. It's on this site. Spike is the slayer and he dates Cecily in the beginning. Buffy's a vamp and things happen that force Spike to be turned.
