Buffy reads the diaries of an alternative reality buffy

Buffy receives the diaries of an alternative reality Buffy. The other Buffy is involved with Spike and Buffy begins to wonder if she is right in not giving Spike a chance. I think Whistler gives her the diaries and I know Dawn is in the story so I think it is season 5 or 6.

I don't think that is the story I am looking for, although I have read it and it is really good. The one I am thinking of doesn't actually have Buffy switching dimensions. She just reads the slayer diaries of a Buffy from another dimension, one who is with Spike.
