I just read a fic where Buffy came back from being dead and showed Willow and Xander the error of their ways and when the part of Xander attempting to rape Buffy as a hyena comes Spike practically loses it. I am looking for season 2 fics where Spike is indeed in the picture somehow when that incident occurs and either takes care of Xander or protects Buffy or where they are shown the incident at a later time and Spike acts the same way towards Xander-wanting to protect Buffy and Buffy realizing Xander was aware of his actions and remembers it... thanks

I know there is an author out there that did rewrite that episode with Spike in the picture but I can't remember who it was.

In this story Xander reminisces fondly about his actions in The Pack and Buffy and Spike have to stop his psychotic rampage.

I also found a couple of Spuffy remakes of The Pack, they might be what the previous poster was referring to, but in the first Xander has a minimal role and the attempted rape never happens and in the second Buffy is possessed instead of Xander. Both the stories are One-Shots.

It could be "What You Wished For" by pfeifferpack. Spike goes back to the past through a wish and ends up in Season 2. There's a scene where Spike rescues Buffy from hyena Xander.
