Loved the chapter. Nice to see a little of Spike´s past, and I like the idea that he´s a chef. (I mean that he can quit being af "Gigolo" if he wants, he,he, and... a man who can cook... hmm yummy.).
Now, the question is, who is going to become more desperat sooner, Buffy or Spike? Hope you update soon.

And great to get the background of William and how he became Spike. Aspecially loved the image of little Will charming the french cheff.. Just adoreable.
Is there a speciel reason behind the Ivanhoe-name or do you just fancy it? (One of the first heroes in my life when I was a little girl and saw that book made old Hollywoodmovie).. Just curious.

Author's Response: I love a gal who looks ahead, very astute observation. LOL, you're too funny on the meat comment, I liked that. Glad you liked little William, I couldn't resist, I wanted him to be the all around kind of guy, evven with the priveleged upbringing.
The reason I chose Ivanhoe was b/c it ryhmed with gigolo, other than that I didn't think too much beyond it, though now I do. Thanks for the great review sweety. |

I'm glad to see that Spike and William do both carve Buffy now. And too or even more that he thinks he would betray Buffy when he would be with another women at his job. More chance for them to work out a way to be together, right? It would / will be awkward enough if they run into an old client of him. But then again it would be too if he had a lot of girlfriends. I wonder how Lorne will take it but then I think he knows. He has seen it I guess. That what he saw and didn't tell. Yay for him to want to quit :) ~ Wow.. so Spike is noble. What a name to live with: William Jeffery Ivanhoe IV. With parents like his (business comes first and then comes business) Spike can be happy he had Giles and the time he spent there. A totally other life he lived there, carefree. *smile* And he can be glad Uncle John worked there. He schooled him good. And he can thank Giles a lot indeed that he let him go to the cooking school instead of Oxford, against his parents wishes. And his business with Lorne started because he wanted to buy Grisanti's. Well when he still called it 'his primary place of employment' than he hasn't bought it yet. Or does he have to 'buy' his job? No, I think it is to buy the restaurant, or? ~ Loved Buffy's bitch talking to her *gg* And Anya saw it, that Buffy had a very pleasant night. Mmm protective Buffy. Yeah, she doesn't love the thought of Anya being with Spike. Non sharing Buffy :) And she has a problem thinking of Spike, her and a future regarding his job. So it's good indeed he wants to quit that part of his job. But good then that she feels a connection was made. ~ A long chapter, very welcome! Loved William's background. Looking forward to more :) Loved this chapter.
Author's Response: After a night like William/Spike had, well???... let's just say he'll have a difficult time getting back into the swing of things. Yes, depite his parent's plans, it wort of backfired on them because of Uncle Jon and Rupert. They love him too much to see him miserable. Yes, Grisanti's is the plan for both Will and Lorne, they'll make good business partners and both benefit from it aswell in more ways than one.
Buffy's opinion on telling Anya about Spike's identity... a big helllll no, lol. Glad you liked this chapter and I'm diligently working on 13 right now, hopefully won't be too long. Thanks for the totally awesome review hon. |

loved the chapter title!!! lol. very original. post soon. they're really deep in it now, huh??? got to know a little bit of bac story behind the spike persona. loved it. really REALLY loved it. please post soon. i really want to find out how this is gonna go. are they gonna run into one another or something dramatic like that? i mean, i'm dyin' with curiousity? oh, and the riley thing? he's not gonna be causing trouble is he cuz EWWWW!!! never really liked him.

Great, great backstory on Spike. A man-ho with a distinguished past. Could he be anymore yummy? Le Sigh. Loving the inner monolouge of Slut!Buffy. She cracks me up. Both of them seeking comfort from each other's clothing was so sweet. This story always sends me to the most girly place.
I absolutely adore this fic. I can't tell you how awesome it is, however I refuse to admit I am a sucker for the romantic. No way...not me. Nuh uh.

Put a gun to my head and insist that I change something about this chapter and I just would not be able to do it !!! It was once again MASTERFUL !!! (putting aside the fact that my last serious boyfriend before my husband was an incredibly sexy Italian chef who wanted to be a chef/owner in NYC.)
I love the history that you created for him ... Giles as an adoring and understanding Uncle as well as his priveleged upbringing (not that that is necessary for him to be a good person but it does add a facet of dignity to his not so dignified side job)
You know that I adore Lorne (yes, I finally checked out that picture that you told me about) RAOTFLMFAO !!!! Aside from that .... I admire his friendship and respect for Spike/William and their subsequent business deal (which demonstrates his confidence in S/W's true passion) MAN can you come up with some creative story lines. Anyway, I'm thinking that as soon as Lorne met Buffy her KNEW that this girl was/is in fact William/Spike's true soul mate. I just know that Lorne will handle the kinks in the upcoming relationship. His presence in this story of yours has me calmly believing that he will handle all potential problems with his charming tact.
Love how you used Anya in this chapter too. I have a few friends who are like her and they acutally force me to cough up much more info than I normally would ... everyone needs an Anya in their life! And I like how you put in there that Buffy was keeping Spike's identity from Anya just incase Anya might want to call him !!
You use about 100 totally original cool phrases that really reflect your unique writing style ... to name a few "the script had flipped", "lured Spike out of the zone, drawn William out of hiding ...". "who cares what his name is, I just want to know how he did it" .... on and on ... totally great
The inner dialogue with both characters is priceless ... trying to talk themselves out of what really happened while at the same time knowing that what happened was out of the ordinary. AWESOME!!
Cannot wait for the next chapter !!! By then maybe I'll get a grip on my send/submit buttons and not be a spaz with sending you emails & reviews 5 times each. (what th' heck) Hugs, K

I'm thrilled you enjoyed this chapter cuz hey, we're in plot territory now, and either people will like it or they won't. If they don't that's ok too - I'm sticking to my plan. Glad you like the cool phrases. Some are spontaneous while other's are more ommon place where I come from.
I really wanted William to have a not so typical background of a prostitute ya know? It's too common for someone struggling to get by to go into the biz. William is doing it for his dream, and that's pretty noble I feel. I also couldn't resist using Giles as his father figure and supporter. He did so well on btvs as a surrogate father to Buffy, why not here?
The green meanie - had to do it, you know me, one twisted pup! Buffy is major protective over Spike - she just can't help herself there. After all, he's her first and vice versa in a lot of different areas. Who wouldn't feel possessive? I know I would. Anya and Lorne are so much fun to write - let's the inner Anya in me come out - and my sense of humor.

I liked your choice of a surname for William, I also liked learning about William's past. Spike's POV about continuing to take jobs was very interesting, makes me wonder if he's gonna retire... except for Buffy of course. *smiles* It was so sweet that both Spike and Buffy were cherishing each others clothes. Loved your portrayal of Anya, her conversation with Buffy was really fun to read. Can't wait to find out how long Buffy's dreams plague her before she calls Lorne. Fantastic chapter! :D

Can I just tell you once more how much I'm enjoying this story? Loved the background story on William, loved his relationship with Giles,. I adore cryptic Lorne and your wonderful Anya and above all, I love how that night changed everything for William and Buffy, how they can't seem to keep thinking of the other. Awesome chapter, darling, I can't wait for more!
