Congrats on the Judge's Choice award! So love this story. Poor Spike is going to need lots of emotional help. Buffy and Angel are not going to be everything he needs. Spike has always hated how he was weak as William. His body has begun to heal, but his mind hasn't had the chance yet. He will push Buffy away till he feels he is worthy of her and most likely be angry with her for awhile. It's normal, but she will have to allow him to have the space he needs.

This story makes me feel all tender inside for William and Buffy. Guess it is about how they have had feelings for each other since they were kids. Will Liam pull a prank on William and let Buffy think they are a gay couple? Going to be funny when Will finds out Buffy thinks he is gay. Will Dru drift in and set Buffy straight about Will's manhood?

Hate to admit it, but this sounds a bit like what happened to me when I was sixteen. Had a mad crush on a friend of my brother's who was eight years older. Then when he finally started paying attention I had a crush on a guy closer to my age. So it rings true to me.

The moment in front of the sink could have been Buffy having a fantasy or real up to the very last moment. Wasn't sure which it was at first and had to reread. Very good scene.

Buffy thought she had a fine little playhouse all set up with two hot guys drooling over her. Faith just put a kink in that little daydream. Buffy's eyes are going to be a deeper shade of green.

William was scared. That why he asked Faith to visit. That clear because he had never asked before. He made sure to give Buffy the idea that there was something going on even if there wasn't. He's the one running scared.
So now how is William going to act when Buffy decides to have Angel around? Will he go all jealous when she does try to be the teenager dating a boy her own age? I have a feeling it won't set well with him. How can he really object when he made such a point about Faith. Painted himself into a corner. If he says anything, it makes him look bad. Bring it on Buffy.

No reason to worry. Clearly William is in the wrong. He is still tempted and expects her to follow his rules. Yet gets all jealous and wants to touch her. Thing is that is not the way life goes. You can't push someone away and then get upset that they move on. Not allowed. He going to have a few painful moments when Buffy who he pissed off goes all out to look sexy and act sexy with Angel while rubbing it into William's face. He has no one to blame but himself.

So they both finally admitted to their needs for each other. They gave into the need to share at least a moment of bliss even if by their own hands. Each moment is breaking down a wall that will lead to more. Slow is going to drive them crazy for each other.
So someone saw them. That's going to be bad. Love this story. Congrats about the win. Yay!
Are you having problems with the font? Some of the text seemed to run off the screen. The spacing of the type was odd too. The lines of sentences seemed to almost be on top of each other.
Buffy seems to be trying to decide something in her dreams. Angel seems to have kept secrets from his crew about Spike as he did before.
Author's Response: When I checked it and checked it again in preview it all looks fine. Could be you need to reload the page or it could just be fluke of iambic pentameter lining things up oddly. I don't do anything to the font (I wouldn't know how - no tech savvy here) I just plunk it in there like I did all the other chapters and it does it's own thing.
If there is something I should be doing differently, do let me know. Perhaps the text is just dense (wordy?). Dunno. Sorry. (= (
And yes, Buffy has some thinking to do, and Angel is a guilty bastard. hee

I went back to reread the other chapters so I could be clear about what had happened. It's totally understandable that Buffy would want to bury the memories. Spike is doing the right thing by not pushing her, but letting her talk about it at her own speed. Hopefully she will be able to talk to the police after talking to Spike. Dru is going to be a problem for sure.

William is keeping Buffy busy so she won't wonder what Spike is doing. Not a bad way to be distracted.

Again we didn't get to find out what Spike wagered for in place of his soul. He didn't ask to become human because he went into game face having sex with William. So it must have something to do with the Immortal I am guessing.
Hopefully the guys punish Buffy for even thinking about agreeing to the Immortal's terms. Cause punishment might be very enjoyable.
Seems that Sofia might help the white hats in their quest. She might be an ally.
