I wish I could remember some more facts but it is an early season fic where Buffy and Spike sleep together but he leaves. He does come back to her though, appearing at her window at Revello I think.

I am not sure if she knows that he leaves with Dru and wasn't expecting anything further from him or if it is a different fic where she thinks he died (possibly with the organ on him) and starts sleeping with Angel. I think I am mixing up two fics here where she has slept with him, there is a break for one of those two reasons, then he returns to her. Any help would be appreciated.

Spike and Buffy sleep together, then Angel comes back and Spike leaves (then later comes back) in the first story of the Unexpected Universe, but Buffy isn't at Revello Drive in that one, she's at the Mansion.

Definitely isn't Unexpected but thanks for trying to untangle my confusion!! I think I have many muddled together, it doesn't help!!

It may be that Buffy goes to Angel and just performs oral se.x on him whilst feeling lonely etc with Spike gone (don't know if that is when she thinks he is dead or he has gone off with Dru). She is trying to feel connected and is using Angel and doesn't really want to be with him so she feels pretty bad about it and she confesses to Spike virtually instantly on his return that she had done that. Or maybe this is a third further story, ha!!!

God I love the Yellow Brick Road series but no, not the ones I'm afraid.

Could it be the Love's series by slaymesoftly?

Loves Lost is the first one and there are three sequels.
