This is such an interesting idea. I thin you're absolutely right; Spike and Buffy probably *would* have raised a very screwed up kid given the circumstances. Very insightful chapter. I wanted to grab poor little (imaginary!) Shanny and give her a hug! You really did suck me into the story here!
