Admittedly I have been following the story since the beginning and this is my first review (not a big reviewer) ... gotta change that. Anyway, I love the plot, character development, reality aspect of it all and basically the way you write. After this last chapter, I am crossing my fingers that the following chapter(s) are posted sooner rather than later. Got a lot of fans in angst out here' ... me included. Great story.

this chapter made my heart ache. for real. kudos for that because i usually dont respond so keenly to fanfics.
i really love this fic, and i think you did the realistic thing in this chapter by making spike blow up for a bit.

Oh now.. what now? Angel was the one kissing Buffy but Spike didn't believe her. And because of that Buffy broke up with Spike? After all these years they know each other. I repeat myself: What's the matter now? Well I truly hope you'll update soon! :)

Okay, I love this story, but I have to say this:This chapter just doesn't make sense. That's it. No discussion? The "mature" bit coming out of her mouth doesn't ring true when about a minute later she's just ending things without even really talking about it. How much have they fought for their relationship...and they just give up? Just not meshing in my head with the rest of the story. Sorry. But, as is my tendency to find a good in everything, the writing is good...just not true to the characters...at least to me.

Author's Response: It's funny, because when I decided how this was going to go I was trying to keep it very true to the characters. They're both strong people, but I don't think Buffy at sixteen could ever handle as much as she thinks she can, and Spike...Spike's never been one for maturity. They fought for their relationship, but still, neither of them is actually ready for it.

Thanks for responding--I hope the characterization ends up plausible for you again!

Wow! It's so sad Spike and Buffy broke up over a stupid misunderstanding. It's a shame Spike wouldn't even listen to Buffy. Can't wait to find out what happens next. Great chapter.

Ok- just a little confused. I thought she and Angel were at a park bench- but then they were at her house when Spike arrived? And Angel ran out of the room after the kiss? Sorry if these are stupid questions. It's late and I need to go to bed. Loving the story though. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Anywayysss... of course Angel had to be the root of the problem. Kinda wish when Buffy and Spike patch up their relationship and get back together (which they will of course, I mean, come on! lol) that one of them/both just decks Angel in the face. Haha. Anyway, I'm glad that you finished the fic and will be continuously updating because this is one of my favourite fics! Can't wait for the next udpate!
