I have a feeling that Spike won't be able to figure out where that boundary should be. Glad Buffy at least has someone in her life that she can be herself around. Hope Joyce takes the news as well as possible!

Buffy was indeed distracted a lot because of her mom. Bad idea to go patrolling hadn't it been for Spike to go with her.
But it doesn't seem as if Joyce will send Buffy back to said hospital, rather then regretting it now in the first place (sending her there).

Oh, my heart is aching for what Buffy is going through! And I love how Spike is slowly developing friendly feelings towards her. It doesn't seem hurried at all and it's all in character!
