I really love this story. Love how everyone is buying it and how her own mother can see that Spike loves her...and that she loves Spike, even though she hasn't admitted it to herself yet...and she can't see it. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Another one hit out of the park. Very touching and very mature handling of the mother-daughter relationship. You didn't take the easy 'mean mom' versus 'rebellious spirited daughter' out that most would have turned to quickly. You presented valid adult reasons a mother might seem distant from her daughter's life and really took the time to flesh that out a bit. Now, I'd really like to see what was happening with Spike at the same time, downstairs. Any chance you can let us see that scene too? Cuz, that's a conversation I'd like to have heard. Great work, thanks for the updates and for sharing your obvious talent with the rest of us.

It may not have been an easy chapter to write but it was an easy chapter to fall in love with. It brought tears to my eyes and it made this lurker come out of the woodwork to tell you how much I'm loving this story. I'm definitely going to print this one out and save it. It's the sweetest "Spuffy" I've read in a long time. I'm happy you keep updating so quickly. But you know I don't want this story to end. Any thoughts about making this a long story or following up with the chacters again after this story ends?
