So our boy needs to exercise a few demans out of his soul as well. I just hope Buffy can come to see she is not the only one that carries bad things deep inside her soul. So far hers has not been scared as deeply as his....but maybe she can become his healing balm......and in the end he can become her dark knight....if she can get past this night what some would view as the most unforgiveable act against a woman........

First of all: excellent writing. Secondly: O.k., so this character is a rapist and a coward. I can't bring myself to feel sorry for him at all, even though I understand that he had a very bad past. But as I see it that's just not a sufficient excuse to inflict that much damage on other people. It is not enough the feel sorry afterwards. Buffy should have taken better aim and cracked his skull with that mirror... Honestly, underlying physical attraction aside, how could you forgive something like that, if you are not suffering from a major case of Stockholm Syndrome? I know that most of the authors (and readers ;-)) crave happy endings, but I have yet to read a story, where the author manages to pull off an even slightly realistic "happy" ending between two characters after one of them sexually abuses the other. Well, I really hope your story is going to prove me wrong...

Author's Response: Yea, I really debated whether to do that or not, because it's going to be hard to redeem. The thing is, I would never forgive someone like that, but I doubt you can really say for anyone else that it actually happens to, if it is actually possible to fall in love with a rapist. Fic is where we can explore the possiblities, and i promise, i will never have Buffy say, "Oh spike, i forgive you for everything - you didn't mean it." It just won't happen. And Spike is fucked up, I know, but I got tired of lightening up his dark side in the sex scenes. If he's gonna be a rapist, then there's gonna be a real rape scene that's to the real degree. I'll work to fix some of it, but people don't always have to forgive 100% - just move on. Thanks for the compliment though!

I like this story for its dark undertones your writing really is outstanding. I find it interesting she is attracted to him and he fights with himself over the man who he is and the man who is trying to be. You can like see he has to be void of all emotion and then you can see where he wants to be close to her. I wonder with the sexual relationship how it if would be if he reversed roles on her a bit. I mean instead of her laying there fighting with herself no to participate or let herself feel anything what if he changed his tactics? I mean what would she do if he instead of being the one doing always forcing the issue what if he changed it so although she was having sex with him he made it so she would be doing the work? I mean if he choose to lay back and instead of her just having to lay there why not he try to get a response out of her and switch the positions a bit? I mean if Spike had her ride him it be pretty next to impossible for her to show no feeling or response at all plus in a way she'd have more of a feeling of control and power here. She is so used to his demand of sex I do not think she'd know what to do in this position or how to hold herself back. There has been such a build up of him trying to kiss her in the most intimate of moments and she always turns away I think it be outstanding if one time he sat up and caught her off guard in a moment of passion where they'd both forget themselves for a few moments all of their defenses and just feel what they could have together if they'd let themselves. Sorry I know I ramble and you are the author! I just love this storyline and would love to see it continue for these two are so well written by you and have such a well written chemistry I'm just dying till a update comes along!!!!

I see you are on a vacation but please continue on this fiction when you come back. I first started reading this thinking this is dark and was prepared not to like it but you really put a spin onto this story and I find myself checking daily for updates. You can see they are both moving towards each other little by little as they both seem to fight themselves not to. I like how you have written Spike you can see he wants more he's just unsure how to get there and Buffy has great inner turmoil going on fighting herself and her past and her attraction for him. I hope when you return to see more of this and all your other fics as well you have a wonderful unique writing style that pulls you into a whole other world where you are* pulled into the storyline so much you forget your just reading it. I really look forward to your return and updates on this story. 4 Stars! A Great writing talent everyone must take time to read this and all of this authors work. You will not* be disappointed. A first class writer and Spuffy story teller. Fantastic Read.
