Well, I'm glad Spike won- Angelus would have broken her for sure. Now it's a matter of what Spike's going to do, since he might very well have the same agenda, without doing it as brutally. I like that you worked Illyria into it- she's a hard character to fit into an AU fic, but this one works perfectly. Great chapter! I'm still awaiting what happened to Parker, but that can be put off for a while- I'm enjoying the Spike and Buffy interaction so far. Thank god he beat Angelus- that was fabulous:) Cordy creeped me out (and rightfully so), and it's kind of cool to see the women be so strong, even if they're scary LOL

Oh, I would rather her be with spike and have a chance then with Angelus and be torn apart.......that was the differenct between Spike and Angelus.......Angelus loved to torture, Spike tortured only if needed......Spike had the patience to take care of Dru that Angelus never had....he enjoyed breaking her.....

I like this. I know Spike is a bastard right now, but the fun part is seeing what and how he changes. I can't wait to see if you show us the actual fight or not. The scene in the beginning with Buffy, Parker, and Joyce was incredible. Very moving. Great chapter again!

Oh my god, poor Buffy! The scene where Parker runs her mom over just floored me. Wonderful, angst-filled beginning. I love your dramatization of LA. Never been there, but I think this darker view of it enhances the dramaticism you are trying to build. I can't wait to see what happens to Buffy!

The only reason I chose to say L.A., was because I needed a name for the city - otherwise, it's my own creation (except the bum which really does happen! lol).
