An almost kiss. They really are warming up to each other. Love how she shares little bits of her past. Really enjoying this one. Unfortunately it's time for bed, but I will be looking forward to more tomorrow.

Interesting turn this chapter. Sewing those seeds of doubt. Wonder what she was thinking about at that moment there. Maybe both points... And Spike getting off on her imagined pain, but doing nothing. Wonder whats going through his head. Great chapter.

Really seems like the Watchers did quite a number on this girl. Seems like Spike may be just the one to fix her. I love how he really seems to care, even if he cant come to terms with it. Amazing chapter, amazing emotions. Loved it all.

They seem to be having quite a bit of fun for two mortal enemies. And she seemed surprisingly okay with his "when I kill you" speech. My guess is she doesnt really fear him or believe that he will do anything to her. Great chapter.

Love these two. Such a tentative bond, and blackmail to eat ice cream? Who would've ever thought that necessary. And we have their official truce. And a little bit of nakedness. Sure will be interesting if he does get to have her in a non violent way.

Poor scared little girl, completely brainwashed and yet she is still hanging out a bit with Spike. Not that it's really hanging out, but not staking him outrightly seems like a pretty big step for this version of our girl. Hope he can get through to her...

Lots of great humor in that, and a pretty snappy escape, too. Leave it to Spike to free a slayer without any plan as to what comes next. Love the way both of them find the Master's plan to be lazy, too. And I loved the, "Behind him he heard another thump and for a moment he worried that he'd lead the way for some sort of suicidal lemming leap off the stairs." Any way to incorporate suicidal lemmings into a story so that it makes sense is okay in my book!

Wow, they are such a pair even when they know nothing of each other. Poor Buffy, that was such a haunting and powerful description of her situation and state of mind. It's only chapter two, and already I'm in love with this story.

So Spike doesn't know of Slayer dreams? But at last he believed Buffy because she mentioned tea parties and Miss Edith. But, when he saw Buffy stick out her tongue at Ms. Post from the corner of his eye, he wondered if he wouldn't almost be better off with one less woman in his life. Yeah, and if he thinks very hard he should think of getting rid of Ms. Post. ;-)

Oh yeah :) Buffy had fun, even doing some good that way.. but not for the criminals. Buffy should have heard what the minion wanted to say.. or she wouldn't have been so surprised. Well I was.
