oh, so the parents have a idea......and maybe Hank knows something.....and could be he trusts Spike enough to know he's do what's right for Buffy.......and he might know his daughter would never be happier then with a man she is more mentally attuned age wise with.....and that Spike would only treat her with love and kindness........that's my reasoning and I standing by it....LOL

I really liked the interaction between Buffy and her friends, and Spike with his boss/friend Anya. Poor confused and conflicted Spike reduced to brooding. Great chapter!

I am content to think that they know Spike is a good guy and that if they try to keep them apart if they love each other, it oculd only end up in tragedy. It's hard, because yeah.
