Oh, I've missed this story! Such a hard situation for these two---I do sympathize with Spike, he's trying to do the right thing, when he's so confused. They're both right about their negative feelings about the other, they have a whole mess of confusion to work through before they can be together. Loved it, more please!

Is he just scared or is he trying to be noble? I can't wait for him to tell Fred he can't marry her because he still loves Buffy . I like fred , Liked her on Angel and everthing, but I don't want anyone else with Spike but Buffy. Go ahead let Fred get hurt, which from that conversation Wesley had with Lilah is very likely now, unless he's actually stringing Lilah along. Well i was hoping Spike would be a litle more forthcoming with his feelings, so was Buffy apparently. I wish u would update more frequently , i think i've been following this fic or yrs now.f

I feel so bad for Buffy. She is wearing her heart on her sleeve and being honest with Spike and Spike is being secretive and guarded. Couldn't he at least give her the hope she is looking for without betraying Fred?

well, this isn't good, spike still plans on going back to fred, and it looks like wesley might turn out to be a jerk, i never liked him with lilah, she repulses me. i was hoping fred would fall for him and forget about spike. i'm still enjoying this story, but i do hope things get better for them, i'm not seeing a very happy ending right now.

So maybe Wesley isn't evil. I guess I can let that go. And Gunn giving up a life on the run to go back to his real one and safety... good to get out while there was still time. And Buffy and Spike knowing that they are two of a kind, bout time! Loved the update and looking forward to more. Wanna get this Luke bastard put down so we can get onto the Spuffy parts. :)

Excellent chapter. Very happy to see the update on this story. This story is one of my all-time favorite Spuffy AU stories, as well as the original story that it follows. Relieved that Spike & Buffy finally had that talk and know where they stand with each other...for now. Love teh closing paragraph. Says it all.
