Nancy...ugh. Can she die? Get hit by a bus or something cuz she is an annoying somebody. Like seriously i'm reading and being annoyed by her. But kudos to you for making characters so identifiable and well rounded that you can become annoyed by them.

Gosh, that's actually quite a painful chapter. Would have been better if we could have skipped over the whole Nancy encounter, but I know Sunnydale has to have a Slayer though... just wish she wasn't so obnoxious.... I'm kind of feeling sorry for Angel(us). He's a very difficult character to compartmentalise, isn't he? Evil to the bone when he's unsouled, but when cursed with his soul, a wretched, but scrummily delectable, creature... Thank the heavens for Spike, eh? All piss and snark and cheekbones to die for. Buffy's one lucky girl!

Actually I kinda like that he wasn't Angelus and was all soul having again. It was kinda anti-climatic and yet not. The Angelus thing would have taken away from the Watcher-killer storyline. It also adds new dimension to Buffy's and Spike's relationship by comparing it to Nancy and Angel. By the way, can Nancy be more annoying? What is her deal? i hope she gets her head out of her ass. Terrific chapter.

While I will say that having Angel be all re-ensouled by the time they return to Sunnydale is more than just a little convenient, as far as plot-devices go, I don't really have a problem with it. Angelus was just a means to an end to begin with--in getting Spike and Buffy together and out of town--but he's not what the story's about so there's really no reason to allow him to suck up more page space than is necessary.
Nancy is an obnoxious, spoiled brat who deserves a good spanking. She kinda reminds me of cannon-Buffy that way. ;)
I still can't wait to see how they're going to pull this off. :)

Actually, I found it to be a pretty perfect yet fitting surprise that he would have been re-ensouled. Seems to fit a good bit in with the timeline. And the whole face-off between Nancy in the "typical Buffy" role and Buffy as this Buffy was so much fun. And Giles laying into Nancy and her ability to talk about shacking up with evil vamps, the whole thing is brilliant. Love it and can't wait for more.

What a chapter. Buffy's very convincing argument, and her slip about how she feels about him. And poor Spike rellving the bad moments. It seems perhaps that she already has forgiving him, come to accept him in her life and even her heart. Maybe he just needs to forgive himself. Amazing chapter.

im so happy that giles is working with them and that he wants to get pay back to the people that killed joyce. also i thought it was so funny and i was so glad wen he said those things to nancy. i really love this story and am so happy u updated. i really hope that everything works out and that buffy gets even closer to spike. also i hope that nancy doesnt make a big deal about it and doesnt do something stupid. please update as soon as u can, i cant wait to read more, thanx

No disappointment! I thought that it was great that you kept this scene between Buffy and Giles. Angel and Spike pissing contest can come in the next chapter. Also, I love the fact that no one missed the "she's with a vampire. She's evil" bit. I have to say that I was like, "hello, they name is kettle." So, yeah, long story short- good update!!

No problem with not having a Spike/Angel face off. I think the one with Nancy and Giles was plenty. I wonder about that Nancy girl she is such a straight arrow and she has to be feeling threatened by Buffy. Hmm...

I'm good with it, actually. It stands to reason that Nancy and Willow would try the same thing as Buffy and Willow did in the canon season. Buffy and Spike were gone long enough for the situation to be dealt with.

So, will Angel even attempt to apologize for the trauma he put Buffy through? We know he remembers everything.

Not eexactly disappointed, though I think he did deserve a lot of pain. I love the fact that Buffy seems to be more comfortable with Spike. I can't wait for complete love to happen for them. Update soon please!

No disappointment here, nope !! I was glad the way Giles handled Nancy, she is a little too arrogant, and I felt needed to be put down. Giles trusts Buffy, and that is the way it needs to be especially considering his feelings for Joyce. I can hardly wait until they take on the Council, more interesting reading......great chapter and thanks

The comparison of Buffy and Spike and Nancy and Angel was well balanced, and I really enjoyed Giles' pointing it out to his slayer. Giles was forceful and entertaining to read throughout this chapter. His reaction to Spike and the claim was more even handed than I expected, but I'm glad he had some fireworks for Nancy and her re-soulled up boyfriend.

oh yeah giving him his soul back makes it all better for poor wittle Angel *GAGS*. ... oh it did not take Nancy fancy pants long to get into his drawers..GO Giles with giving it her like she should of had it...lil bitch. Another great chapter. I don't miss the Angelus face-off, probably because he doesn't bug me nearly as much as Angel and his smug attitude. Him I wouldn't mind seeing get a little comeupance.
