Spike's manipulation of Buffy is an intriguing plot development. You're doing a good job spelling out the emotional conflict in both characters. I can't wait to read the consequneces of Buffy's escape - if she can feel Spike feeding, surely he's able to feel her running off...

This was an excellent chapter too. I think that I like Buffy and Spike together so much because they are both so stubborn. In order to be a couple, they have to go against their nature. Not as a vampire and a slayer, or enemies, but the nature of their character. They have to stop being so headstrong and realize that they are attracted to the other and do care for them. I love seeing them go through all of that. This story has them doing all of that, but slowly. Keep up the lovely work. ; ) Can't wait for more.

Oh I thought Spike could Buffy strip of her free will... Wonder how long it will take Buffy to find out. But I think Spike may be right about the soul he is sharing with Buffy through the bond. *sigh* ... Spike did it. He went out feeding and Buffy couldn't bear it and run. I wonder if Spike noticed it immediately through their bond. Looking forward to a new part :)

Oh finally!!!! I was waiting for that moment for Buffy to run. I'm surprised she could last as long as she did. I believe this action will spur Spike to change - seeing how in pain she was in. He knew she couldn't take it, yet he pushed it, trying to force the issue and Buffy to accept it. Well, he was wrong.

Very good chapter, very intense. You know, I think it would be actually nice for Buffy not to be found right away, so she gets a little breather and he something to think about, especially if her absence makes him feel not so good both physically and mentally...

Well, Spike had me as convinced has he's got Buffy that he can wipe her of her free will. Hew dastardly of you to sneak that in there. I love it! And of course she really is the one that could have all the control over him... So amazing. "It seemed that she'd rather believe she had no free will than to accept that she wanted him," and that line, well doesn't that just sum up so much. How much it must hurt Spike to know that. And that little inkling that maybe she's sharing her soul with him linked with those old stories of vamps going crazy. That's pretty awesome, too. Not to mention Spike passing up Buffy to watch Passions, and the way she reacted. Priceless. Really amazing update. A perfect chapter with really nifty little plot reveals. Loved it and can't wait for more.

OMG spikes goin gto be sooooo madwen he finds out she left, shes in trouble. i love this story and am happy u updated. i can kind of understand where spike is coming from but since buffy is his mate he should understand her feeling and realize that she cant stand him feeding. please update as soon as u can, i cant wait to see wat happens with spike and buffy next. thanx.

Nice twist....I like it.. FIrst of all, reading Spike's POV really adds a new layer to the whole story. It seemed before as if Buffy had not power at all..so it is really nice to read that she is affecting Spike tremendousley.

Spike's problem is that he wants to dominate Buffy completely. He wants her to be there for him..for his pleasure..his needs. He thinks that SHE has to adapt to what she is mated to.. But what Spike hopefully will understand before he utterly destroys Buffy...HE is going to have to adjust to what he is mated to..HE is going to have to give a ltittle..
Really enjoying this story....Thanks for the update hon!

OMG i LOVE this story so much and am so happy i started reading this. i really hope that spike starts to be nicer to her and that he starts to care for him. also i really want buffy to start to care for him and they make it through the dark period thats about to come. please update as soon as u can, im DYING to read more and see wat happens next between them. thanx
