And Joyce said once that she'll get them (her children) back if she marries.. I can't see her doing this, not visiting them in six month.
Buffy was right, Spike did appreciate her birthday gift very much :))
It made Spike sad too to think of the time when they are out of the attic because he thinks they can't continue like that. Though the promise she made him did help him a bit but not much. We'll see how it ends... we haven't heard anything yet why their grandfather reacted that way when he saw Spike and Buffy. Anyway, looking forward to the next part.

Wonderfullllll. Very good ending to the chapter. It really solidified that Will feels something for her. Usually, I get the impression that Buffy feels more for him than he does for her. This really was great. Oh, and were the flowers really for the wedding, or the funeral?

Author's Response: Unfortunately, since this is a first person story - I always have trouble figuring out ways to let people know how Will feels for Buffy. Of course, I know exactly what Will's thinking, but the reader (and Buffy for that matter) only know what I let him tell her. I always try to let some of his emotions out but he's insecure so he doesn't like to give away too much for fear of getting hurt. Will has a lot bottled up though - you'll get to see more as the story continues. As for you last question, you'll have to wait to find out! Mwa ha ha.

I was flipping through the channels today and the movie flowers int eh attic came on. I have never watched it before...and i eventaully cut it off because your story was far better than the movie. Every time "christopher" talked to "cathy" i kept correcting their names in my head.
I just wanted to tell you again how awesome this story is.

Author's Response: Yeah I watch the movie every once in a while when it's on to see if I can get inspired, but it never really works. I like the woman who plays the grandmother though - she's nuts. Thanks for the review and I'm glad you're enjoying.

i must say that i love your story
and it made me want to read the original book
and i was hooked! although it is not nearly as great as your spuffy version i was mesmorized by the story. ive read teh first three in the series. i often find myself thinking of cathy and chris as buffy and spike. and when i read "flowers.." i kept hoping for someeee "love"
i love your story and i cant wait to see how you go on from here

excellent update(s). I love that they have done more exploring and now have a solid escape plan! I wonder what they will do on the outside. I wonder if they will be able to stay together (the four of them) but most of all.... I wonder if Ethan isn't really the evil man everyone claims and if Dru can die a slow painful death and if Joyce will ever realize she's worse than either of her parents with the way she's treating her children! I'm so glad you updated! And what a wonderful chapter to get back into the story...
I may be naive, but I still thought Joyce wouldn't completely turn her back on her kids. But I see now that she is a lost cause. Fortunately, Will and Elizabeth are growing even closer (and the role-playing seems to be a thing of the past too). I'm looking forward to reading more about them and how they'll deal with what's going on between them...
