I can't imagine anyone as cruel as Dru. Every time I think of Joyce bringing her children there, knowing what her mother was like, I just feel sick. It's not right, and she should have known that.

I think that William has too much faith in Joyce. It seems like she's abandoning her children for a new life, using shamelessly the excuse of pleasing her father. Does she even realize what she's doing? I can't help but lose trust in her, just like Elizabeth.

Jennybean, I just reserved a copy of "Flowers in the Attic". You have me so hooked that I am dying to reread VC Andrews book (I read it YEARS ago) and don't really remember it that well so I'm going to pick it up after work today and read it over the weekend!!!!!!!!!! Please update soon!

Author's Response: I read it years ago too - I'm trying to wait to read it again until I'm finished so it's not close to the actual plot. You'll have to let me know how I'm doing in comparison to the book.

You know, my sixteenth birthday didn't go how I wanted either. I wasn't even home for it. Made me a little jealous that Elizabeth has such a great family that, even in those times, would give her a day devoted to only her. I wish my own had done that.
